Light Forest Podcast @ Gitcoin Asia Round
Light Forest podcast is open for contributions as part of the Gitcoin Asia Round
Hello friends,
The Light Forest podcast is listed on the GG21 Asia Round and open for contributions until August 21.
Light Forest is a purely self-funded endeavor at the moment. The funds raised will go towards costs for software subscriptions and resources related to recording, editing, and social media distribution. This will help me put more energy into improving the quality of content and distribution on social media to help grow the audience.
In order to contribute you will need to have some level of familiarity with decentralised Web3 tools, such as a MetaMask wallet, and existing funds in some form of cryptocurrency. If you do, I invite you to use the link below to find the project and donate.
Even a small sum of support ($1-5) will go a long way to because of the quadratic funding works.
With quadratic funding, there is a pool of matching funds dispersed in a way that prioritizes the number of donors towards a project rather than the total amount each initiative raises. It is an emerging fundraising mechanism that aims to be a more democratic way of providing funds. It aims to ensure the funds are granted transparently, with decisions based on the will of the community rather than the interests of a few affluent donors, incentivizing small contributions from a large number of individuals. Quadratic funding is one of the emerging Web3 mechanisms also discussed in episode 2 of the podcast on Regeneration and ReFi.

Light Forest Podcast
The Light Forest Podcast is a journey into areas such as Asian philosophy, indigenous knowledge, civilisational history, regenerative economics, spirituality, and more, searching for the interconnected roots to the many crises engulfing our planet, from war and digital technology governance to climate and health.
Tuning in to this podcast you will hear from thinkers and builders (many from the Web3 space) helping us transition away from the ‘dark forest’ paradigm of infinite extraction, fear, and violence we live in today. You will also hear guests share their own “inner” journeys of regeneration and unlearning to live more authentic lives.
Thank you very much 🙏🏼
